Get him tested for PRA and all that, if he hasn't been already. Though i doubt it'd be a big deal if he did go blind because you'd love him anyway. Older dogs are also prone to dental problems, kidney failure, liver and heart diseases and cancers. A check up will benefit your dog and provide you with peace of mind.
